Remember the statement that says "A relaxed body is required before
you can improve your eyesight". If you are someone who can't relax,
this page may be valuable to you. There are many causes that
contribute to this. What you are thinking, how are you feeling
and breathing are the major causes.
Thinking may be the cause
Focusing your attention on your own anxieties may be the problem.
Negative thinking about your lifes difficulties, what you need
accomplish later
or anything that keeps your mind busy doesn't really solve anything.
Thinking about your problems and troubles won't solve your defective
visual acuity.
You need to take your mind off thinking about problems and focus it
on what you are trying to do. You are trying to find a way to increase
your ability to relax by using your mind.
Think Positive
Most people can improve their ability to relax by thinking positive.
Happy thinking can also increase your relaxing know how.
Thinking in the present moment can also increase your ability to relax.
Your Breathing
Your beathing may also be responsible for not being able to relax.
Shallow breaths may responsible for lower oxygen levels in the blood.
If this is you, try to make a habit of deeper breathing.
Your Feelings
How you are feeling can also be a factor. Any of the following can
cause problems.
Everything below are subconscious habits.
impatient tense restless
uncomfortable nervous depressed
worried anguished apprehensive
uneasy angry disturbed
If you are impatient, you might be expecting fast results. If you are
uncomfortable, worried or uneasy, it can slow down the improvement.
If you are tense or nervous, these emotions can cause an increase of
stress. If you feel anguished(great mental pain) or angry, it can
totally stop the improvement. If you feel restless, depressed,
apprehensive or disturbed, you are actually postponing your success.
If you are feeling any of the above symtoms, you need to address it.
Any one of these feelings can be the cause of not being able to relax.
Try to laugh
Laughing is another famous remedy for relieving stress.
If you don't have anything to laugh at, find some funny TV programs
and watch them.
Say to yourself
"the cause is the way you are using your mind, the
way you are thinking and picturing in your mind". If it works, say
this about 5 times.
Try taking a deep breath
Taking a deep breath is another weapon that fights stress. Keep
inhaling and inhaling. Keep inhaling until you can't inhale no more.
Then exhale. If it works, do this 5 times.
Meditation can also be a great help.
Meditation is a form of self disciplined relaxation. It involves deep breathing, a blank mind and having your body in a relaxed form. You actually say to yourself simple messages that encourage you to relax. Things like saying "relax" repeatedly or "relax deeply".
